Steph Svarz - Acting Teacher, Theatre Program Director, Thespian Troupe #1665 Sponsor Steph joined the RMHS theatre team in 2019 and is delighted to work with such talented students and staff. She holds a B.F.A in Theatre, B.A. in English and Research Certification from the University of Illinois and an M.A.T from National Louis University. Prior to teaching, Steph worked as a director, dramaturge, and teaching artist throughout Illinois with Collaboraction Theatre Company, City Lit Theatre, the Acorn Project, and The Station Theatre, among others. She loves fusing theatre and movement with literature, history, folk art and other disciplines to create whimsical, compelling pieces of art and storytelling.
Paul Dombrowski - Technical Director and Set Designer Paul, a Chicagoland native, has been and artist and designer for as long as he can remember. A former actor and graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Paul now teaches art in District 15 at Willow Bend and Conyers Learning Academy. He is also a scenic designer and former stagecraft/design teacher at Harper College in Palatine. Paul also designed at Palatine High School. Paul is in his eighth year of being the TD and set designer at Rolling Meadows.
Chelsea Lynn - Lighting Designer Chelsea’s recent Chicago-area credits include Into the Woods, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and Private Lives (Metropolis Performing Arts Center); Language of Angels (Harper College), Spring Awakening, Working, and American Idiot (Elgin Community College). Her work includes credits with Piccolo Theater, Chicago Academy for the Arts, Rockford Dance Company, and Circle Theater. Chelsea is a Technical Director for Harper Community College.
Kate McNally - V-Show Director Kate McNally fell in love with theater when her mother signed her up for her first Children's theater class back when she was in 3rd grade. She actively participated in Fine Arts throughout grade school, high school, and college participating in band, choir, and theater. As Kate is equally passionate about travel and foreign language her role as a Spanish and French teacher at Rolling Meadows High School allows her to combine all of her passions together. Kate first became involved with RMHS theater in 2001 and has worked on many shows in many different capacities.
Kevin Carroll - Musical Pit Director Director of Orchestras at RMHS, Kevin received B.S. in Music Education from the University of Illinois; M.M. in Music Performance from Bowling Green State University; and completed coursework for a D.A. in Music from the University of Northern Colorado. He has performed in pit orchestras for numerous professional and community theater productions throughout the central U.S. In addition to directing the RMHS pit orchestra, Kevin directs the pit orchestra for the District 214 summer musical productions.
Caitlyn Walsh - Musical Vocal Director Caitlyn Walsh has been the Choir Director at Rolling Meadows High School since 2012. Her teaching responsibilities include Treble Choir, Advanced Mixed Choir, AP Music Theory, Madrigal Singers, and the Leading Ladies competitive show choir. She also serves as the vocal director for the school musical. She has performed and taught private lessons as both a bassoonist and vocalist and has coached color guard for Evanston Township High School, Rolling Meadows High School, and Wheeling High School. Caitlyn received her Bachelor of Music Education with an emphasis in Choral, General, and Instrumental Music from Northwestern University. She graduated with honors and received a certificate from the Undergraduate Leadership Program with a focus on Community Arts Engagement. Outside of her musical endeavors, she is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys sharing her practice with the RMHS community.
